Don’t let the screw cap fool you. Winemaker David Scheidt takes an elegant and intense approach, while also bearing appropriate restraint. David has always approached making the Cuvee with a sense of early drinkability. With the ability to source and blend from multiple Sonoma County appellations, early drinkability is much easier to accomplish. Petit Verdot leads this blend with vibrant color and balanced tannin. Sangiovese and Merlot add acidity and bright fruit to make this an elegant and intense wine.

Lionza, a Swiss style cheese, is named after the tiny village high in the Swiss Alps that the Fiscalinis called home for more than 300 years. The same traditional steps are used today that were developed generations ago by Lionza ancestors. It is lightly straw colored and has a thin natural rind, a sweet milk caramel-like flavor, an enchanting aroma, and a semi-soft texture.
